Client Accounting Junior

An opportunity has arisen to join A2CO’s growing and dynamic team to work as a Client Accountant Junior on a diversified portfolio of local and foreign clients.

The day-to-day duties for our portfolio of clients differs from the usual tedious bookkeeping – while we still maintain our clients’ books, assist them with their management reporting needs, and handle their VAT compliance obligations, our diverse portfolio promises working alongside our closely knit teams of lawyers, tax advisors and corporate professionals. Coupled with exposure to numerous industries including iGaming, venture capital and crypto, this position ensures that you gather proper experience that will shape your career.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Record financial transactions for a portfolio of local and international clients
• Perform periodical reconciliations
• Assist with management reporting
• Assist with VAT reporting
• Work alongside colleagues from our legal, corporate and tax teams on engagements that are not solely accounting related
• Support management and senior colleagues with ad-hoc client requests

Requirements:
• A team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Minimum O-level in Accounting or similar education
• Curiosity to learn and ambitious to grow
• Attention to detail and quality oriented
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Excellent written and verbal Maltese and English

Although not a requirement, experience in a similar role and/or with accounting software will be considered an asset.
