A Premier Gaming Hub
Malta stands out as a favoured destination for online gaming operators, pioneering in establishing a robust regulatory framework for remote gaming. The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) is the central body overseeing remote gaming in Malta, ensuring that operators meet the regulatory standards in player protection, responsible gaming, and anti-money laundering.

To operate in Malta, gaming operators must secure a license from the MGA, with the requirement of establishing a company in Malta, or within the EU/EEA. Licences are categorized into Gaming Service (B2C) and Critical Gaming Supply (B2B), each covering various game types :
Type 1: Games against the house with RNG-determined results.
Type 2: Betting on real-world events.
Type 3: Player-versus-player games with a communal pot.
Type 4: Controlled skill games.
A successful licence application involves comprehensive documentation on entities, policies, and technical aspects. Following satisfactory documentation review, the MGA conducts a system audit, which A2CO can help with.
Our guidance through the licensing process, including advisory on appropriate licence types and diligent preparation, streamlines interactions with the regulator, avoiding unnecessary delays.

Responding to external pressures, Curaçao has introduced a more stringent gaming licensing regime in 2023, revamping its entire licensing system. The newly established Curaçao Gaming Authority has replaced the previous licensing structure with independent B2C and B2B licences. Existing operators under the old system can transition to the new licences by expressing and registering their interest.
The new licensing process requires detailed policies and procedures. A2CO is proficiently prepared to support clients transitioning to Curaçao's revamped gaming licensing regime, ensuring a smooth and compliant shift to the new standards.

Whether navigating the established gaming landscape of Malta or adapting to the evolving regulatory environment, A2CO offers unparalleled expertise and support to ensure your gaming business thrives within the legal frameworks of these jurisdictions.
